Work past life’s difficulties

images

Life is full of difficulties, it just is. The question is how to maintain while going through them. Others might or might not support you because whenever any of us are faced with difficulties it makes everyone else duck and cover, “I don’t need your bad mojo all over me!” But we all know in the end we will each have to face days of difficulties, years, lifetimes. There is no way to know how your karma is going to play out in this lifetime especially if you are living life from a place of unconsciousness. If you still believe stuff just happens, might as well stop reading and move on to the next blog.

The entire point of having a spiritual practice is to learn to see what others look past. To learn and move with the universal energies. When there is a full moon things go one way when its waxing or waning, or when its dark, things goes a different way. Every aspect of the moons many phases plays with us and our lives. As well as the planetary line up at any given time day week month or year. There is so much affecting us from the unseen forces and yet many still choose to live with their heads in the sand not looking up to see what information is available to aid us on our journey. Believe me there is lots of aid available to those who would seek it out.

Don’t drown in your difficulties, do something! Be aware of what the universal forces are trying to communicate with you. Start paying attention. Add time out during your day to do breathing mediations or yoga then just be you, it would benefit each of us. This lifetime is our chance to express our unique voice not stay stressed out tripping over the many difficulties there are. We need you to be you. There really is no other person like you on the Earth. Yes, this is a good thing. Each of us must rise and share what gifts we have been given, to live our best life and to remember that when difficulties come that’s all it is, difficulties coming, given enough time, everything will pass.

Life is filled with difficulties, it’s just life, but the intelligent thinking person looks around at what they can use to move their life from a hella roller coaster ride to meandering through a park in a carriage. I am going to go get in my carriage right now! Enjoy your day.

beauty is simplicity

IMG_1181

I got my butt out of bed and headed out my door down to the beach. It is such a joy to walk on the beach feeling the sand between my toes and laugh as the ocean spills its wave half way up my leg. I am sure I must look crazy as I am laughing to myself, talking to the birds, smiling at the children. My walking laughing meditation practice, simplicity!

So many people lose sight of the beauty surrounding them or get so caught up in the mundane business of running their lives they stop seeing the beauty that is all around. I see people so intent on their workout they have no idea how blessed they are to be walking, to be breathing, to be surrounded by the beauty of the ocean. Others have ear buds in their ears. What music has more effect on the soul as the sound of the ocean? We miss so much, so much, when we leave the beauty of the present moment lost in thoughts of; would of, could of, should of…

In the bible it says in Mathew …27“And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life? 28“And why are you worried about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin,29yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these.…

The beauty of truth is in its simplicity. We have made life something to conquer rather than live. We have made villains across the world over and we continually overlook the little guy in favor of power and greed. We forget so easily the wonder of our world and more importantly we forget that everything that is happening to us is a reflection of our own thoughts words and deeds. We have been given a great blessing to be alive and the ability to change everything about ourselves. We are alive, we are experiencing life, we are seeing things, doing things and walking on a planet that is serving us even as we continually treat it like our living room complete with maid service.

When each of us makes up our mind to let go of unrealistic goals for our body or mind and sit at the seat of our soul we will live the verses from Mathew fully present in the gift we are given. As we live in gratefulness of our lives and blessings we open space inside to receive even more. When we gracefully give of our blessings to those in need we are blessed again.

Living in simplicity, knowing our needs are met, and residing within our soul’s peaceful nature this will helps us understand that just ‘being’ will always ‘be’ enough. This is my yoga!

Your word is you!

Unknown

There is a little known fact about us humans moving through life, every thought, word and deed is recorded. There is a mechanism within us that does the recording and after we pass we will review this recording or book of our life. You will see and re-expereince every little thing that has happened to you and how your actions and reactions affected those you interacted with. This makes every singe thing we do and every single thing we say of great importance, more than any outer sign of our vast spiritual nature.

In the Universal Kabbalah we learn of the 7 negative influences that we must overcome in this lifetime. The karma of our parents is 2 of them followed by the environment we grew up in. So nearly half of the negative influences have the greatest impact over our lives and will often stunt any chance we have of true spiritual growth. Most everything about a person is set in childhood and how they act and react the rest of their lives is based on the few short years we live with our family of birth. It can be a loose noose around our necks when we don’t take control of our lives and how we live and how we react to life. We all know people who are stuck in the negative aspect of their childhood.

So no matter how difficult an experience you have had in your life at some point the finger wagging has to stop and the reality that you are in the driver seat of your own life needs to be the foremost thought in your head. No one is doing anything to you, you yourself let things happen, especially after you leave your childhood home. We must be responsible for our own lives, people can aid us but the work is our own. We can be victims of circumstances but there are no victims in life we are all participating whether you are doing it purposefully or not.

The marker of who you are resides in your word. How you say things and the intention behind your words. Know this, you are not fooling anybody when you wag your tongue not to mention the beings who hear you that you cannot see. Every time you open your mouth, shut it first and think, does it really need to be said. Every tweet, Facebook post, every email, and word to the grocer, it all counts. You are your word. You are not seen as a physical body in the spiritual world you are seen as an energy presence and that presence is the color and clarity of your electromagnetic field.

Spiritual students spend time in silence and in meditation in order to raise their vibration seeking spiritual clarity but none of these things will work if your mouth forgets and runs off leaving your spiritual self on your yoga mat. Spirituality is not what you wear, your ability to spout platitudes, it is in the actions you take when no one is looking.

Use your word to life your vibration, it truly is the fastest way to elevate to be in constant practice of elevation of those around you. Life truly is not about you, pause re-read that sentence, Life is about what you do to share, elevate and uplift those around you. So stay calm and live up to your word.

Be a shinning light of grace and goodness in a world in desperate need of spiritual light. Be a light warrior. Be a force of good in your life and everyone around you. Your word can be a weapon, so use it to shoot light in to everyone’s heart.

Growth and movement

IMG_1038Ahhhh, the groaning. We cannot grow without strain. We cannot grow without movement. Oh how we groan through the whole thing. Do you think we will ever get that life is about the journey. Surly we get that the grave is calling for us all eventually. Why all the groaning! Let’s jump in the ocean and let it hold us for a while.

The oceans teach us about movement and the power of the now and more importantly it teaches about non-attachment.

If you stand long enough in the edge of the water your feet get covered by sand, the surf rides up your leg, you are in it and it is simply moving around you. It has no care for you standing in its way, for it moves around you. It has no care for your feelings it absorbs them without you even being aware of it. You can walk away from the ocean and it will not miss you. The ocean supports you are you aren’t aware of it. Just like life.

The ocean accepts your trash and your praise. It allows death and life to happen in the same place at the same time. The ocean is powerful and mighty. The ocean is sometimes mild and calm. The ocean is sometimes so clear you can see to the bottom and watch your step but sometimes it is murky and you never know what just went by. Just like life.

Once in the water if you are not paying attention you will be at the mercy of the tides and swiftly washed away, the ocean isn’t here to play, it has work to do. But work with the water and you will find it invigorating and loads of splash fun, ask a kid. Just like life.

As a spiritual person we see the ocean as a representative of the collective unconscious. It holds all the secrets of life, just there under the surface. The depths of the ocean are calm cold and dark with misunderstanding and mystery. The surface blown by the wind and tossed by the currents. The ocean holds us all. Just like life.

Throw yourself a life vest and stop groaning. Wear it as a reminder that when handled properly life is about growth and movement.  With the tools found in the Divine Spiritual Wisdom life can be handled without fear or groaning. But remind yourself in life as in the ocean, if you move out to far and become fearful, be calm and relax into your life vest and breath, the current will bring you back just as the breath will bring you back to center. Struggle against life or the ocean and it will bring you down. Work with it and it will work with you. Try to understand it and you will spend hours and hours trying to do that. Just go with it and expect the ride of your life.

Disappointment is a bitter pill, don’t swallow it

images

Awww disappointment! Receiving or experiencing disappointment is a tough thing for us humans. As soon as it happens it can become a cascading event of bad feelings whether the disappointment is coming from something that was done or left undone, it just doesn’t matter it becomes a doorway to negativity. One that must stay shut. Studying spirituality being religious any of the good feeling projects on the Earth move into a fog of forgetting when we experience disappointment. We become at once lost in our emotions of attachment and I am owed, I was used, I will never get what they get. All part of the game of life and learning what is actually important. Being, right? Being, being a being, not an emotional monster that can’t think straight or stay on the righteous path creating negativity and karma that has to be repaid.

Disappointment is part of life unfortunately, but its a great life lesson. When we expect people to be a certain way that is judgement. When we expect God to treat us a certain way, that is expectation, when we expect those around us not to hurt us, that is attachment. The feelings and actions of those around us is their karma and part of their life journey. Most of the time disappointment is about wanting what you want when you want it. News flash, not going to happen. The best we can do is stay in a place of neutrality understanding there is a bigger story going on than what we understand. You know what they say hindsight is 20/20. There is a reason for that. Life teaches that, that which we don’t understand is something to let go of and let God deal with. Like tragedies and horror on the planet, dear God take it away but for so many hard-headed humans terror and horror is the only language that can change them. God’s work is way passed our understanding.

What I do know and have learned is that when we walk in faith of a greater story, then we can be assured of a greater ending than what we see or are capable of seeing. Jesus spoke parable after parable on the unfairness of life from a human perspective. A wealthy man hires workers for his field and the last hired receive the same pay as the first, they scream unfair we worked longer and the landowner says we made an agreement. When we look around us and do comparisons of any kind is to put yourself in a dangerous position of thinking you know. One has to remember no one knows the mind of God. The universe is also always in a state of balance nothing goes unnoticed.

Disappointment is a false thing, a mind trap meant to keep us in the dark of emotional turmoil when the answer is simply be glad for all that good things that happen to those around you. Be glad that you see God at work. Be happy and uplifting, for those without Divine spiritual awareness see little outside of their eyes than that which benefits them. When we accept with grace everything that is happening to us in our lives, taking steps when necessary to correct that which is wrong towards that which is right, disappointment becomes a great teacher. Do not be a judge unless you are yourself without sin. When the master spoke of how hard it was for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven, he was speaking of our inability to be grateful for what we have and who gave it to us because when we are not believe me that which is in charge will know it and balance will be restored.

When disappointment comes, breath in, let it wash over you like a wave and then release it. You know the saying let go and let God! Soon disappointment will leave and your blessings will reappear. Spend a day blessing everyone and watch how it changes your perspective, you know your blessed, that’s air your breathing right? You are alive, that is a blessing!

You want me to be grateful for what?

images

As part of my ongoing spiritual walk I ever so often have to begin again in order to make the necessary adjustments to rise to the next level, whether it be a level of consciousness, or stage of life. The in between stage of growth is where I find myself having the hardest time. The in between state of no longer being where I was and not yet where I am going.

I chant as apart of my spiritual practice and have for over 15 years. I find working the vibration through chanting the most effective way to exact change on the physical level. Awesome! Then comes the day that you realize your practice has become less awe-inspiring and then I change it up. I think of a spiritual practice like a conversation, not always the same but also a sharing between beings. Like all things a spiritual practice that becomes rote is no longer a practice but a habit. A true spiritual practice moves and changes with you just like a conversation moves and changes. We move our practice in order to move the self. I needed to know what to do to change, to get ready for the next spiritual growth spurt.

I went to a class with my teacher having a difficult time with the struggle of life not knowing where I am going and he says practice being grateful. Of course I jump up with the “of course I am grateful”, “I am so grateful for everything I just don’t get why it has to be so hard sometimes.”

Now we know there is no growth without the pain of change. In order to change we have to work our vibration releasing the old inviting in the new. So he told me “you aren’t being grateful for everything.” ” Of course I am, it’s just so hard”blah blah blah

Swimming in the misery of the struggle oh why God why me? He says, “Are you grateful for the struggle? Are you grateful for the confusion you are surrounded by? Are you truly grateful for everything the good and the bad? “Are you grateful for the challenges that are moving you down the path of greater spiritual growth?” “Are you grateful that in this moment you are indeed closer to God?”

I went back to my place to really understand gratefulness on a much wider scale. To be grateful for some of the most difficult things that have happened to me. To be grateful for the hard humans who I have relationships with. To be grateful for the tragedies that have befallen me and my family. And in that moment you see the hand of God for what it is , a hand, help, growth, and movement. Through the adversities of life I scream out to God, through the pain in my life I have searched for God and through all the loss of my life I have found God.

There can be gratefulness in horror when you open your eyes to the widest vision you can imagine for each event in your life, good or bad. Gratefulness is one of the most profound spiritual practices, giving you perspective and frankly it leads to forgiveness, and we all could use some of that.

So I am grateful for every difficult moment, for every happy moment, for everything that has ever pissed me off, and especially to all the things that make me sing. I am grateful!!!! For as I become my very best self, shining like a sun, I know there is nothing more powerful than I Am and certainly nothing powerful enough to bring me down. How can you not be grateful for that? I will practice being grateful.

I am grateful for you!

Raking mad beauty

IMG_1170 Aww, the beauty of fall. This year was a good one for color and we got to have our leaves for a while. Walking through the neighborhood you could see the beauty of the leaves all in different states of getting their fall on. Most of the time the leaves would change and we would get a rain storm that would pull all the leaves down before we could really enjoy them. Not this year, lots of leaves lots of color but then I look as my yard was deeply buried under the beauty of the leaves. I could hear the grass choking under a sea of yellow and red. There were leaves everywhere.

I looked for my rack. All I was going to do was take the heaviest layer off the grass. This helps the yard next year get the light it needs in the early spring not hindered by leaves. If I don’t do it now I have to do it in the spring, and I could see the yard doesn’t like leaf invasion one bit. So I grabbed the rake and went at it.

After a while I began to sense something about the leaves, something sinister. As I raked the leaves they wouldn’t easily move and seemed to multiply and multiply. What’s with the leaves? I was moving a mountain of leaves and it seemed to be moving itself around as well.

The leaves on the yard at first looked so beautiful and safe but it was a false face, a trap for the muddy wet layer just under the surface. Ready to pull me on my ass! Mad leaves, depressed over their imminent demise.

I believe the leaves are making a point about not feeling appreciated. They barely turn color and we are stuffing them in bags, mowing the piss out of them or blowing them into the neighbor’s yard. I think the leaves wish to be left alone to be allowed to bask in their own glory and left to die in peace without our interference.

I for one am all for it. I will rake the rest next year after their death and final resurrection as mulch in the spring.
