Dealing with days after death

Unknown

Time is the only thing that moves the sting of death. The further one is from the date of the tragedy the further the remembrance of the impact the tragedy produced. We as humans are asked to go through many challenging events, death is but one of them.

We are often tested by virtue of circumstances like war separating the men from the boys and girls from the women. Other times its something that happen’s hitting us close to home. A death or great tragedy in a family brings out the survivor, the victim, the teacher, and the follower. It will bring out the worst in us or the best in us but most of us need the tragedy to turn on the hero or see the tyrant within us. Tragedies are meant to stir this teaching that we are greater than the small-mindedness of our beliefs and we have the chance to grow and change everyday and sometimes we will be pushed.

The days after a great loss or death are filled with the sorrow of those around us. We come together to share memories and stories and sometimes a shoulder to help bear hearing the story again under hushed whispers. These are important days and must be shared with reverence but the real work of loss is found in the days when others can return to a “normal” life and you cannot. They go back to a before and you are now stuck in the after.

The empty days after the tragedy are fraught with too much time for thinking and rethinking, finger-pointing and guilty flag waving. And some must be expected as our human emotions left unleashed do unleash the torrent of sadness and anger left behind but not played out. Why did you do that to us?, we are left to ask, no one…

Faith is tested and we need to help stand next to the wobbly, next to those God is testing the most. Do not so easily walk away from someone who has experienced a tragedy. They may be strong in your eyes but behind closed doors we are all human. We are meant to learn all the hard lessons God thrusts onto us whether we want to or not. It is through community a person can gather the strength of remembering what is forgotten in the darkness of disbelief and despair. Being a spiritual warrior is to be present when someone needs you, not when its convenient for you.

Be true to your sister or brother who has experienced a tragedy and be like a mighty oak unwavering in your support. Though we will never know the mind of a God who allows us to be penetrated by the greatest of tragedies we can have solace in knowing there is no love without sacrifice.

If our hearts are involved in the pain of the teaching, or the lesson we are surrounded in then you can guarantee God’s hand in it. There is no sacrifice without love, if it is happening to you it does prove God’s love. We, in our finite understanding of love will sacrifice for our loved ones so how much greater is the sacrifice made by the creator of the universe for us. The more you hold to the teaching that you cannot know God at all if you do not see God in all makes every experience part of the all of God. Everything comes from the all. Everything seeks to return to the all.

Some just chose to leave way to soon…

Spiritual discipline

Unknown

I use to describe spiritual discipline as getting up early every morning to do my sadhana practice. My sadhana is normally the time I spend chanting as I am not as interested in moving first thing in the morning but I am totally in love with getting up early to chant. I have been a devotee of chanting for 20 years now. I love to chant!

I chant Naam, which is the holy word or words that sang, whispered or thought, elevate the listener/chanter. Through the natural law of osmosis we know that that which you spend most of your time doing or who/what you constantly surround yourself with, will be reflected in your daily life. It is also reflected in your level of happiness and overall success. This is why we do Naam!

Chanting Naam, or the continuous repetition of the sacred mantras over time  bring increased light not just to our bodies but down to our cells. Chanting allows us to accumulate light giving us increased chances for continuous health and prosperity. The more light in the body the higher the vibration. It is my belief and experience that sickness and jealousy, darkness and lack cannot live in a body filled with light or a affect a being who spends time merging with the sacred sounds and/or names of God.

These Divine mantras allows us to feel within our hearts our true state of being, united with the highest vibration. We were meant to live our life with our hearts wide open filled with love but the traumas of our lives and the effects of the body of pain over our lifetimes keep us trapped in a life of false darkness, filled with constant lack and conditional if any love. Chanting Naam allows us a river of higher sound vibration to ride opening our hearts filling them with love so we may merge with the Divine Light in our soul projecting love peace and light to beings everywhere.

But chanting isn’t enough. Understanding the overwhelming influence of the body of pain, its naysaying negativity, its dooms day predictions of ‘you’ll never be good enough’ means we must carry our spiritual discipline into our daily lives. We must teach ourselves to be the master of our emotions. We must live everyday as students of the divine spiritual wisdom putting the wisdom to work rather than being victim to the many unseen forces influencing us. As we work through our studies we learn about these unseen forces and living  in a constant state of awareness we know we can make these forces work for us in our endeavors rather than fall victim to them.

Spiritual discipline is a constant practice until the wisdom walks with you and you become the wisdom not just a student of it. You know, the day the student becomes the master, it is the path we are all walking, yup, all of us! But until that day we must make successes of our lives by implementing the tools laid out for us by the master teachers who have gone before us. It is our job to put spiritual discipline to work.  We must do the work. We must take the steps. We must implement the wisdom. We must take time to increase our vibration through meditation and prayer. We must be driven to be a better human every day.

This is the kind of spiritual discipline we all need to embrace. Working towards being a better humans everyday!

Be sure and watch for the release of my chanting CD Chanting Living Words on 1/20/2015 on CDbaby.com I would love for you to love chanting as much as I do, it changed my life.

manifesting evidence

Unknown-1

Showing my students how each of us manifests evidence is one of the best teaching tools I know. It is hard to dispute what is right in front of you especially if it’s right under your nose. When we look with heart-felt eyes we can see the hand of God at work in our lives, even at the times when we thought God had given up on us. And when we are honest we know there were miraculous events that helped lead us to where we are today. There has been a steady stream of evidence of how we have manifested the present state of our circumstances. We can see the manifested evidence of our path represented through the state of our finances, our health and our ability to maintain healthy relationships. It is our karma as to whether the outcomes due to the state of our path is positive or negative.

When we walk our path with opened eyes we can see our lives as a serious of events meant to awaken us so that we can live life with consciousness. When we live life as a victim feeling punished by God or any force you have stepped away from the truth and its is a dark path of misery you are walking. Get back on the path of gratitude to the source of the gift of life and the light returns. You will again experience prosperity and health, in what ever manner it comes to you.

As students of the Divine Spiritual Wisdom, we follow the laws of the Universe to walk with the flow of life not while pushing against the tide. We walk a spiritual path that gives us the tools to traverse life and the wisdom to know it is our birthright and responsibility to live from the middle path, walking the path of neutrality, staying in the present moment. Manifesting evidence in your own life by thinking right, being right, speaking right, behaving right and acting right, allows you to become the role model of success within your family and peers. Life lived while maintaining peace, is a successful life, add prosperity and health and you are living the dream!

Understanding that life has its up and downs allows us to control what would otherwise look like an uncontrollable ride on a roller coaster. Understanding the universal laws and frankly keeping your head on straight will go a long way in creating peace in your life. While we may never know why certain events happen in our lives we can control how we react to them. 20/20 hind sight can later show you what looked like devastation was really the ground clearing for the best years of your life. You just never know! Overreaction just causes more karma and more bumps on the road. Teach yourself to go with the flow because frankly the flow is moving, not reacting, and we need to move to go beyond whatever is holding us back from our best self.

Work hard at living your best life being the best version of yourself. Be the manifested evidence that you can show others is the road to success. And then go get your shades because your life is about to get bright!

Work past life’s difficulties

images

Life is full of difficulties, it just is. The question is how to maintain while going through them. Others might or might not support you because whenever any of us are faced with difficulties it makes everyone else duck and cover, “I don’t need your bad mojo all over me!” But we all know in the end we will each have to face days of difficulties, years, lifetimes. There is no way to know how your karma is going to play out in this lifetime especially if you are living life from a place of unconsciousness. If you still believe stuff just happens, might as well stop reading and move on to the next blog.

The entire point of having a spiritual practice is to learn to see what others look past. To learn and move with the universal energies. When there is a full moon things go one way when its waxing or waning, or when its dark, things goes a different way. Every aspect of the moons many phases plays with us and our lives. As well as the planetary line up at any given time day week month or year. There is so much affecting us from the unseen forces and yet many still choose to live with their heads in the sand not looking up to see what information is available to aid us on our journey. Believe me there is lots of aid available to those who would seek it out.

Don’t drown in your difficulties, do something! Be aware of what the universal forces are trying to communicate with you. Start paying attention. Add time out during your day to do breathing mediations or yoga then just be you, it would benefit each of us. This lifetime is our chance to express our unique voice not stay stressed out tripping over the many difficulties there are. We need you to be you. There really is no other person like you on the Earth. Yes, this is a good thing. Each of us must rise and share what gifts we have been given, to live our best life and to remember that when difficulties come that’s all it is, difficulties coming, given enough time, everything will pass.

Life is filled with difficulties, it’s just life, but the intelligent thinking person looks around at what they can use to move their life from a hella roller coaster ride to meandering through a park in a carriage. I am going to go get in my carriage right now! Enjoy your day.

beauty is simplicity

IMG_1181

I got my butt out of bed and headed out my door down to the beach. It is such a joy to walk on the beach feeling the sand between my toes and laugh as the ocean spills its wave half way up my leg. I am sure I must look crazy as I am laughing to myself, talking to the birds, smiling at the children. My walking laughing meditation practice, simplicity!

So many people lose sight of the beauty surrounding them or get so caught up in the mundane business of running their lives they stop seeing the beauty that is all around. I see people so intent on their workout they have no idea how blessed they are to be walking, to be breathing, to be surrounded by the beauty of the ocean. Others have ear buds in their ears. What music has more effect on the soul as the sound of the ocean? We miss so much, so much, when we leave the beauty of the present moment lost in thoughts of; would of, could of, should of…

In the bible it says in Mathew …27“And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life? 28“And why are you worried about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin,29yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these.…

The beauty of truth is in its simplicity. We have made life something to conquer rather than live. We have made villains across the world over and we continually overlook the little guy in favor of power and greed. We forget so easily the wonder of our world and more importantly we forget that everything that is happening to us is a reflection of our own thoughts words and deeds. We have been given a great blessing to be alive and the ability to change everything about ourselves. We are alive, we are experiencing life, we are seeing things, doing things and walking on a planet that is serving us even as we continually treat it like our living room complete with maid service.

When each of us makes up our mind to let go of unrealistic goals for our body or mind and sit at the seat of our soul we will live the verses from Mathew fully present in the gift we are given. As we live in gratefulness of our lives and blessings we open space inside to receive even more. When we gracefully give of our blessings to those in need we are blessed again.

Living in simplicity, knowing our needs are met, and residing within our soul’s peaceful nature this will helps us understand that just ‘being’ will always ‘be’ enough. This is my yoga!

Blessings in spite of things.

My Dad once told me we never get things fixed in life, wise words. What we can do is realize we are on a journey called life and we are not here to fix ourselves into some kind of perfected set up. There is no; perfect job, place to live, perfect partner, kids, pets, teacher, preacher. Anything that is working right now may change just as you have gotten use to it. Kids first grade teacher a dream, second grade teacher a nightmare. Neighbors when you moved in, awesome, they move out, new ones move in, nightmare. Job is great until new boss, job sucks. It only takes one adjustment to throw your perfected thought into the nearest trashcan.

The list can go on of things that were ok for a while and become a nightmare at some point. It’s a drag for sure, favorite shirt gets a stain, favorite store closes, friends move away, on and on. Looked at now my Dads infernal obsession with Murphy’s law makes sense, ‘anything that can go wrong will’! Of course if you expect something to go wrong with every or even one aspect of your life, believe me it will, Murphy is cool like that.

But we all have heard by now thousands of times, everything is happening just as it will, there are no accidents, there is a purpose to everything. It’s easy to see that when we get hung up on some aspect of our life and start clinging to it that it can be the sign for the universe to step in with your next lesson. Life is about the journey and the climb out of ignorance. A walk we must take if we wish to grow away from the short sided vision we have of life.

You could say in the big picture every difficult thing that happens, every upheaval is meant to better align you with truth. It is meant to open your eyes to the reality of life. We are not here on Planet Earth for the long haul. This is a way station, a school for learning what you need to get where you desired to go as you move through your spiritual rise to greater consciousness. Every upset or set back must be used as a set up for what could be a climb on your ladder of consciousness. Far better to learn and rise than be pushed around by life unsure what you are doing or where you are going.

Either you are in charge of your world paying attention to the signs freely given to us or you are walking in the dark. When we fall prey to hardships and get negative about our circumstances we will find they are happy to oblige us with repeat performances until we get so tired of it we look for the door to change. This is when your spiritual practice becomes the answer. Never get bitter, look for what in your thinking has you trapped because truth is, if it weren’t for being forced to change most people wouldn’t change a thing and there is no growth without change. Look for the blessing in every minute because there is one.

What was once bitter can become sweet!

Your word is you!

Unknown

There is a little known fact about us humans moving through life, every thought, word and deed is recorded. There is a mechanism within us that does the recording and after we pass we will review this recording or book of our life. You will see and re-expereince every little thing that has happened to you and how your actions and reactions affected those you interacted with. This makes every singe thing we do and every single thing we say of great importance, more than any outer sign of our vast spiritual nature.

In the Universal Kabbalah we learn of the 7 negative influences that we must overcome in this lifetime. The karma of our parents is 2 of them followed by the environment we grew up in. So nearly half of the negative influences have the greatest impact over our lives and will often stunt any chance we have of true spiritual growth. Most everything about a person is set in childhood and how they act and react the rest of their lives is based on the few short years we live with our family of birth. It can be a loose noose around our necks when we don’t take control of our lives and how we live and how we react to life. We all know people who are stuck in the negative aspect of their childhood.

So no matter how difficult an experience you have had in your life at some point the finger wagging has to stop and the reality that you are in the driver seat of your own life needs to be the foremost thought in your head. No one is doing anything to you, you yourself let things happen, especially after you leave your childhood home. We must be responsible for our own lives, people can aid us but the work is our own. We can be victims of circumstances but there are no victims in life we are all participating whether you are doing it purposefully or not.

The marker of who you are resides in your word. How you say things and the intention behind your words. Know this, you are not fooling anybody when you wag your tongue not to mention the beings who hear you that you cannot see. Every time you open your mouth, shut it first and think, does it really need to be said. Every tweet, Facebook post, every email, and word to the grocer, it all counts. You are your word. You are not seen as a physical body in the spiritual world you are seen as an energy presence and that presence is the color and clarity of your electromagnetic field.

Spiritual students spend time in silence and in meditation in order to raise their vibration seeking spiritual clarity but none of these things will work if your mouth forgets and runs off leaving your spiritual self on your yoga mat. Spirituality is not what you wear, your ability to spout platitudes, it is in the actions you take when no one is looking.

Use your word to life your vibration, it truly is the fastest way to elevate to be in constant practice of elevation of those around you. Life truly is not about you, pause re-read that sentence, Life is about what you do to share, elevate and uplift those around you. So stay calm and live up to your word.

Be a shinning light of grace and goodness in a world in desperate need of spiritual light. Be a light warrior. Be a force of good in your life and everyone around you. Your word can be a weapon, so use it to shoot light in to everyone’s heart.
