Are we wrong?

th-2.jpg

It’s in the searching for answers that we become so desperate that we accept what is almost right or we overlook what we know to be wrong in a “it’s going to be ok”, kind of way. We will turn off our internal truth marker just to “make things work”. Such a waste of our time. If that feeling of wrongness is set into your craw and you are ignoring it for whatever reason, sickness is around the corner be it physical, mental, or spiritual. Take my word for it. Especially, if someone is telling you it will all be fine!

I just watched a movie called Holy Hell, it’s a documentary about a cult in California. I’ve become very interested in cults because of my own near miss with several. The questioning mind seeks answers and under duress will see what is presented rather than what our internal truth monitor tells us. Worse are the straight up lies a “spiritual”leader will tell. In this documentary this leader was found to be having sex with the men rather than the women. All the while proclaiming celibacy as a path to enlightenment. Right!!!

This person is a hypnotherapist and exceedingly good at mind control. All of the students were to take sessions with him at a cost “of course” and during these sessions he would begin the grooming process of his next victim. He had a different boy for different days and times and “of course” these relationships were sacred and special. This is the exact same thing I have heard over and over again whether it’s women or men the “teacher” grooms his victims to their special-ness. I mean really who when searching for truth from a “teacher” doesn’t want to be seen as “special”.

Google spiritual teachers/leaders and watch the people sitting around the “teacher”. It’s not normal to have that level of awe for another human, because THEY ARE HUMAN! We are to bow down to no one but the master in our hearts.

This world breaks my heart. Because in the world of spirituality it’s not just a grooming for sex that draws this same outcome of loss of self. Some people are told to leave their families and break all ties with them. In some, it’s give all your money to the cause, work for the cause, all in the name of God or the teacher or whatever is set before them. Young girls given in marriage to the leader, middle aged people worked like slaves until their usefulness is done and so is their money. The horror!

What the HELL is going on…

We are wrong! It’s never right to serve any master but ourselves. Spirituality is to teach we are our own master because the Divine is within us. When a grown person gives up their power to serve a master outside of themselves that’s one thing but when someone else makes that decision for someone else, the karma… special level of hell and so on…

There is no other answer than maintaining self responsibility and here also is where we have tripped up. When we truly believe another human’s truth over our own common sense, even when we have glitter in our eyes by the beauty of the teacher, someone should slap us out of our revelry. In old days it would have been seen as black magic, isn’t it? Oh that’s right we don’t believe in magic, or Satan, or the devil, much less God.

We are wrong if we believe a human has answers for us, because the true teacher/leader takes you to where your answers exist. Some of us need leading and hand holding that’s fine but a teacher or integrity will never say I’m always right, how can they be…THEY ARE HUMAN.

We are here on planet Earth to learn and the only real truth is the one you discover for yourself. We are wrong if we believe anyone knows our truth, only the Divine knows because we were created by the creative force and this same force is not going to force you to believe it, you may and we do learn for ourselves.

Practice promoting your own internal truth monitor, teach your children well and if someone’s “master/teacher” has a hold over a loved one, pray your ass off and keep telling them they are wrong until they reach out to you because you love them and you will have been the only one telling them. Eventually truth wins, truth always wins!

open your eyes

images-1

My teacher tells us that we are asleep and don’t know it. We wake up in the morning but really we are just moving through this reality on autopilot. And if you were honest you would think about how many times you were driving your car and realized you didn’t know where you were or if you had missed your turn. Driving but not driving, awake but not awake.

If you think about it, staying asleep to the reality of what could be possible if you were awake, keeps you living a limited life. You will never reach your potential if you believe there is no point in change and no true future. But, if you understood the point of gaining wisdom was to wake your ass up, you would probably get on it rather than continuing to live a life that is being dictated to you. This life is about your heart and living your heart’s joy.

Being responsible for your life is the act of sitting at the driver’s seat of your car, its your car so drive it, its your life so live it. But most people will follow in the steps of others, rather than forging their own path. Of course all children learn by mimicry. But we are to outgrow our childish ways and overcome our childish thinking to become fully conscious beings.

We are to learn to think for ourselves, open our eyes to the reality around us.

We need to get into the driver seat of our life. We need to open our eyes and see how our hangups are holding us back, and how our tendencies towards self sabotage are just another way of giving up. We need to be stronger than that and we have to develop that strength within ourselves. No one is ever going to be responsible for any aspect of our life. It’s all you baby.

The point of life is to awaken. To take full responsibility of your actions and develop the intelligence to do a better job so that your families may prosper and not suffer. Open your eyes to the reality of your life. Are you who people say you are really? or have you begun to believe the lie you have been telling yourself. That, “I’ll do it someday” stuff has to stop, time is marching!

The cool thing about the creator/God is that when you are in a certain place in your consciousness development it will open the door and encourage you to review your beliefs and your reality. If you are ready and willing another level of life will open up in front of you.

When we live with our eyes open we can actually see what there is to see. We see the influences others have over our life. We will see where we gave ourselves away and began serving another master. We will see where we chose to close our eyes to the truths in front of us because the fear of change became so great. If you let it the entire film over your eyes will drop off and your naked self will be within your sight. We need to see ourselves above all else.

So next time your emotions run you over like a truck, open your eyes and see what triggered it. What are you trying to communicate with yourself? Next time the jealousy that is killing your relationship comes over you, open your eyes. Has anyone ever stopped anyone from leaving when leaving was what they wanted? When we begin the process of opening our eyes the truth of how we manifest our beliefs comes into focus. How can you can be a person of faith if you are ringing your hands in worry about the state of anything? Open your eyes of faith, either there is a higher power at work that you “believe in” or there is not.

Being an awake human is advanced work for the regular human, graduate school way above the school of emotional turmoil and victim behavior. It takes courage and constant vigilance. By living an awakened life, you sit in the drivers seat and you will learn the ability to recalculate your journey as you walk towards your greatest destiny moving away from your old life of fate. If you are still being led by your emotional nose through life you might want to get started taking control of yourself. The ability to change everything is inside of you.

Open your eyes!

The in-betweens

Unknown

This picture is a perfect representation of my today. I am in-between states, in-between moods, in-between worlds. In other words its the day right after a healing training I just completed. It’s that in-between time of making a huge leap from one state of being to the next state of becoming. Time to take that leap to reach the next level.

I do a lot of spiritual work mostly to be a better mom and grandma and then a citizen of the world. In a world filled with pain and suffering spiritual understanding is the only answer I seek. I believe guidance from within will always lead me to where I need to go, where as guidance from outside takes me where someone else thinks I ought to be. A true spiritual student bears the responsibility of reaching the goal, the teacher can only lead, we have to leap!

Nothing is ever immediate and the letting go of the past conditions of our lives is a tricky thing when dysfunction is the norm in our world. The in-between state is a slippery slope or a rock stuck between two cliffs. What I mean is during the training we got so excited about what we were learning that we saw how putting the practice to work will change our lives for the better. Oh how exciting I just love life, she says walking home from the training with a big smile. Next morning the in-betweens set in.

Life today is the same as the days before the training. Nothing changed in my outer world, still doing dishes, laundry and dealing with life, and it made me feel a little blah. I was on such a high all weekend. Today I am alone in my apartment, what happened? I jumped off my cliff onto the rock, the in-between space, my life has changed but the full on effect will come on like a gentle breeze. The way to move past the in-betweens is to understand that change comes like a subtle wind, we have to trust in the process of change, or we become stuck and maybe find ourselves back on the first cliff afraid to complete the work. We have to have faith, faith in the work, faith in the guiding aspect of God.

My teacher says faith is manifesting evidence. A person with belief only believes because they have been shown. Faith is the eyes that see God and through the work of faith evidence is manifested as that which was done in faith reaps its reward.

So I reach for my spiritual tool belt and put the wisdom to work. I breath in and the most important thing I can remember is that I am not doing any of this for me, or to get anything, I do this work for others who have it worse than I do. I do it to lift the vibration of our world. Because when I elevate myself I elevate everyone. And an elevated world is what I wish to leave for my children and my children’s children.

Enough in-between, I’m jumping to that other cliff!

Blessings in spite of things.

My Dad once told me we never get things fixed in life, wise words. What we can do is realize we are on a journey called life and we are not here to fix ourselves into some kind of perfected set up. There is no; perfect job, place to live, perfect partner, kids, pets, teacher, preacher. Anything that is working right now may change just as you have gotten use to it. Kids first grade teacher a dream, second grade teacher a nightmare. Neighbors when you moved in, awesome, they move out, new ones move in, nightmare. Job is great until new boss, job sucks. It only takes one adjustment to throw your perfected thought into the nearest trashcan.

The list can go on of things that were ok for a while and become a nightmare at some point. It’s a drag for sure, favorite shirt gets a stain, favorite store closes, friends move away, on and on. Looked at now my Dads infernal obsession with Murphy’s law makes sense, ‘anything that can go wrong will’! Of course if you expect something to go wrong with every or even one aspect of your life, believe me it will, Murphy is cool like that.

But we all have heard by now thousands of times, everything is happening just as it will, there are no accidents, there is a purpose to everything. It’s easy to see that when we get hung up on some aspect of our life and start clinging to it that it can be the sign for the universe to step in with your next lesson. Life is about the journey and the climb out of ignorance. A walk we must take if we wish to grow away from the short sided vision we have of life.

You could say in the big picture every difficult thing that happens, every upheaval is meant to better align you with truth. It is meant to open your eyes to the reality of life. We are not here on Planet Earth for the long haul. This is a way station, a school for learning what you need to get where you desired to go as you move through your spiritual rise to greater consciousness. Every upset or set back must be used as a set up for what could be a climb on your ladder of consciousness. Far better to learn and rise than be pushed around by life unsure what you are doing or where you are going.

Either you are in charge of your world paying attention to the signs freely given to us or you are walking in the dark. When we fall prey to hardships and get negative about our circumstances we will find they are happy to oblige us with repeat performances until we get so tired of it we look for the door to change. This is when your spiritual practice becomes the answer. Never get bitter, look for what in your thinking has you trapped because truth is, if it weren’t for being forced to change most people wouldn’t change a thing and there is no growth without change. Look for the blessing in every minute because there is one.

What was once bitter can become sweet!

The retreat is over, now back to life.

Spiritual yoga retreats are a blessing to attend. It’s a way to replenish the well nourishing our souls as we gather together in community. Being Los Cabos was a great treat as the beauty of the rising sun was a spiritual lesson onto its self. Each day we meditated as the sun came up yet each day the sunrise was different. No two mornings were the same yet the outcome was the bright light of the sun in the sky giving us our daytime. Each day we were there the structure was the same yet each day carried with it differences of consciousness and growth.

It is always amazing how people come together in community and we were their to support each other through the trainings. The days were long and packed with information, Divine Spiritual Wisdom, and before long we were doing our practice classes each supporting the other, it was amazing. I’ve been a long time teacher but others had never taught and how glorious to watch the growth, and the smiles of a job well done.

Some of us ended our training by attending a spiritual retreat with our teacher and we received an outpouring of teachings of the Divine Spiritual Wisdom so powerful that lives can be changed. We each see how when the wisdom is put to work it changes human lives we learn so we can share. So many of us are ready to move into higher realms of consciousness and as we rise we turn and lend our hand to the person behind us not yet ready to go, but certainly willing to grow.

We need to refresh ourselves. We need to be in community of like-minded people so we may be strengthened in our process of growth. It can be hard to do this work alone yet the work must be done on our own. How wonderful to have people around you who understand. But now we are done. Our wells have been filled, our eyes nourished by many sunrises, and hearts by all that we witnessed. And yes there was much humanness to be had. No spiritual retreat is finished until the lessons become real in our lives.

It’s great to be on retreat. It’s great to be in community. Now the real work begins as we integrate what happened. We must apply the teachings to our lives and the let the adjustments to our thinking take hold. When you cannot go out on retreat, set it up within your day. Spend time by yourself in meditation, without the noise of the world. Give yourself a break from your devises and social media to really feel yourself. Find a teacher, a class or a group you can be apart of something so that you may grow.

The entire point of growth is sharing what you learn, what you feel and how glorious it is when the spiritual light enters your heart. In the end we are all teachers of one type or another and we need all the teachers to teach humanity to move from the darkness. Uplift everyone, send light to our world and you will be a soldier of light. Frankly, right now we need all the light bearers we can get.

Reach out when you need to so someone can reach out to you when they are ready. We all need a little help every now and again. Put your wisdom to work for your self and for our world.

Sunrise meditations

This is the way the sky looks in the morning when we are at the beach at sunrise for our meditations. I have been at the training for almost 2 weeks. No television or news, no cell service, no distractions, just me and the group and the intense work we are doing. It’s hard work looking and re-looking at your self. Trying to truly see the way your mind works. Watch how it can spend endless hours making sure you hold onto some antiquated negative thought about yourself just because it’s ‘comfortable’ ¬†and you are ‘used to it’. Somehow comfortable is better than awesome, really???

IMG_1233

The sun begins to come up as we do our breath work and chanting. Your heart is moved. There is nothing you can do about it. While you watch the sunrise and the changing colors in the sky you notice how all at once the world is alive. You really can’t help but be moved.IMG_1236

In a world where labels and things are held as important and the separation that people feel from their people and their society, the idea of community stands to replace what is a valuable commodity, companionship. The unconditional love and support you find within your community what ever kind of community it is, is a necessary part of a positive life. As more and more people are alone or single by choice they will need community to stay independent. A spiritual community is a special thing as each member is there to learn, to grow and assist and like i said we all need a little assistance every now and again.

The Ocean does its magic every morning giving me a greater focus than the fatigue I feel, it brings me the grace of the Divine. I watch every morning what the creator has done, and given us. I see the light so I may see the worlds glory, I hear the waves so I may hear the mighty wisdom of the universe, I feel the wind so I may know the creator is there, everywhere.

As the sun comes up to its glory we do a special meditation called Star Pose. Doing it while watching the sun, allows the heart to expand even more making you so grateful for the day. Have a great day!

Another training, why you ask?

IMG_1183

I’m taking another training and I always get asked why? Why are you taking another training? My best answer is, when do you think you have gained enough wisdom? While I have been blessed with an inquisitive mind I still love to sit with other like-minded people who are doing the same level of searching that I am. Not to mention this ones in paradise. But seriously, I do trainings for my self and my own growth. This makes me a much more effective teacher. What I learn I share and this makes training important to me.

Like the infinite nature of our Creator there is an infinite amount of wisdom to be learned. Wisdom itself is many layered. Jesus taught in parables in order for the simply minded to understand the teachings but a wise person could glean information and wisdom as well. Nothing the master did was ever one layered. Just like a true spiritual master when they teach it is layered from the simplest concept to the deepest level of understanding. We each take what we put into something.

Also I think an effective teacher works to reach a multitude of students and this makes continued learning important in order to reach everyone. It is the role of the teacher to guide the students from the dark to the light. You don’t have to be a Guru to do this work. A mother/father is an example of a guru within a family. A very important job of passing down everyday practical wisdom. Children need guidance.

I think everyone needs training from time to time. A way to boost what becomes rote. Many teachers get caught in the rut of teaching the same thing the same way all the time. Could this be the reason the church lost so many members? Each new age needs a new presentation of wisdom. In yoga we talk of the vibration, each generation has its own vibration and the effective teacher reaches that vibration by learning higher wisdom when they have the opportunity.

So no matter who you are, go get some new training. Pick up a book and increase your knowledge. Work your brain. It has been proven to slow dementia and other brain related issues by keeping it new. Learn something new and expand your mind.
